the thought and idea of crying over/for/about Nick (and/or Jonas Brothers/family) popped in my head. It wasn’t random, I’ve seen so many posts today about fans crying for Nick because How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, took it’s Final Bow today. I was thinking on my reaction.
For one, I seem to just have recaught my Jonas fever this week. I remember when I was crazy about them like, circa 2009, or whatever. After the Lines, Vines, and Trying Times hype died down and the brothers split ways musically, I lost interest pretty much. Does that make me not a “real fan?” No, it doesn’t, does it mean my dedication isn’t that strong, sure I’ll give you that.
Let’s face it, the Jonas Brothers are no *NSYNC.
You see now where my loyalties lie, haha! Anyhow, back to the point of this post. I just was thinking about how I’m not upset and depressed for him because it was the final show. For one, I love the theatre, I’m involved in the theatre, so I know how these things go. When you become so close to your fellow cast members to the point of being a big family, parting ways suck! Despite this, it is a fact of life, a fact of the theatre. Shows come to an end, and to some extent those fellow cast members are a apart of your past. BUT here is the amazing thing about doing a show. You and those other cast members, no matter if your paths never really cross again, you will always share that experience with them. It will always have a special place in each of your hearts, and no one on the outside can quite understand it.
Okay, I kind of got off on another tangent, kind of. Really, I don’t know if I will ever get to the point of crying physically over a band like that again or not. I support Nick and his brothers, and I think they are great. I still want to have three boys just like them, well, kind of, raised right is what I mean by that.
Back to the whole not crying thing. From the idea of not crying, I’m not sure it just means I haven’t made it to the “i’m your biggest fan and totally in love” stage…or if I’m just sticking to my “sane fandom” stage. :)
